Awful

Absolutely awful from start to finish.

We booked two stops on AnyVan. We had to call up to do this. Fine.

When we recieved the booking through digitally, the second stop was missing.

We raised this on the chat, they assured us this would be rectified and we then were charged twice, once for the one stop cost, then for the two stop we wanted. We needed to ask to be refunded.

Then on the day, low and behold only one stop was completed. We had multiple issues obtaining a numberplate in advance too, which was needed to secure free parking.

When we complained we were told the issue was being looked into. We recieved no update, I had to prompt three times.

I was then told I'd already been refunded, I hadn't, this was when we'd been overcharged in the first instance. I spent two days in exchanges, being told I'd been refunded, being told I was a liar, it was truly awful.

When eventually the issue was escalated I was only refunded a paltry £23 for the additional stop. It didn't take into account the extra money and time spent sourcing the extra transport, nor was there any apology from the rude members of staff.

It was beyond poor service. I've spent collective days trying to resolve this issue. I would avoid this sham company at all costs.

Title: Extremely Disappointing Experience

I recently had the misfortune of using AnyVan for a house move, and I must say that it was a wholly unsatisfactory experience from start to finish. The issues I encountered throughout the process were not only distressing but also indicative of a systemic problem within this company.

My initial concerns arose when the AnyVan team arrived for the move, and it was clear that they were ill-prepared for a task of the magnitude of a four-bedroom house with a double garage. They arrived with two small-sized removal vans that were inadequate for the job, demonstrating a severe underestimation of the workload.

The move was originally scheduled as a one-day operation, despite several other professional removal companies recommending a two-day move with a three-man crew. This decision placed undue pressure on the AnyVan team, resulting in a 12-hour ordeal that extended into the evening. This exhaustion and time constraint led to a noticeable decline in their care and attention towards the end of the day.

What's most concerning is that the Transport Providers, assigned by AnyVan, were expected to accomplish a two-day job in just one day. This was not realistically achievable and created an environment in which damages were more likely to occur.

Regrettably, during the move, my wooden furniture sustained significant damage. I firmly believe that the responsibility for this damage lies not only with the Transport Providers but also with AnyVan itself. Their decision to contract ill-prepared and unqualified staff for the job, who arrived without the necessary equipment, reflects a severe lack of professionalism.

Despite presenting a compelling case with evidence, AnyVan's response has been not only insulting but also dismissive of the legitimate concerns I raised. They have offered a settlement that is woefully insufficient and fails to address the extent of the damages and the associated inconvenience and financial burden.

To my dismay, AnyVan has chosen to uphold their stance without acknowledging the inherent flaws in their approach to my move. Their unwillingness to accept their mistake in underestimating the scope of the job and failing to provide adequately skilled and equipped personnel is a testament to their lack of accountability.

This entire experience has left me deeply dissatisfied with AnyVan, and I would caution anyone considering their services to think twice. In light of their response, I believe that prospective customers should be aware of the potential risks associated with entrusting AnyVan with their belongings during a move.

In my opinion, the derisory settlement offered does not come close to addressing the damage and distress caused by AnyVan's lack of preparation and professionalism. I now find myself seeking alternative avenues to rectify this situation and hold AnyVan accountable for their actions.

This experience has left me profoundly disappointed, and I hope that my review serves as a warning to others who may be considering AnyVan for their moving needs.

Moving cabinet.

We had a cabinet moved from Liverpool to Tring. The delivery guys were great looked after my cabinet very well. Wrapped nicely glass shelves kept in the cab. They arrived early evening due to an accident but kept me informed and the tracking was great.
The actual booking was a little complecated so I rang the office and spoke to a very helpful lady who explained and booked for me. I will say it was more expensive than I expected but I did want a same day delivery. I think if you have no gites to timing it is cheeper.

DISGUSTING

If I could rate zero stars I would.

I hired anyvan to do my house move. They HIRE other people who are incompetent. 2 men came with a small van and I expressed my concern as it was a full house move. The men could not speak English and somehow managed to put my full house hold items into 1 small van.

During the removal they damaged 2 of 4 flat screen televisions. 1 that cost £2000. A oak mirror, fridge freezer, washing machine and dryer all dented and scratched massively. The above I put in a claim for obviously and the removal men said the damage was already done. Yeh no images to support the damage. They had taken images of damage to other items in my old house which I pointed out to them also. Anyway. It was then that I became aware that anyvan use a 3rd party. And I am not insured for damage with anyvan. They will not provide me with the lads insurance provider due to confidentiality. These lads have caused thousands of pounds worth of damage to my belongings and AnyVan have said if they do not accept liability I will be given up to £100 towards each damaged item. I am seeking legal advice and hope anyvan will be slammed with the legal bill.

The only advice I will give is stay well clear of this terrible company and save your self the upset of items being badly damaged.

My cooker was also badly damaged but before I realised I was not insured for damage I did not claim for this as my cooker had other damage so I felt it was unreasonable to claim for it.

Any van promised my tvs would be taken down and put up. Then they said they do not do this.

Any Van is not as good as they like to make out. My home appliances are ruined. One lad trampled poo all over my carpets. I paid for 3 beds to be taken down and put back up. They are loose and I am unable to do it my self due to physical health problems. Honestly wouldn't waste your money

AN AWFUL COMPANY!

HORRENDOUS COMPANY!

I had gone through the whole phone process and walk around of what I needed moving. I was quoted and paid the amount asked and I didn’t use their ultimate service as there were only a couple items I wanted extra protection for which I paid extra to have these special items packed and protected by them (custom made desk and artwork). On the day of moving the team that turned up instantly charged me an extra £1000 saying I was over my quota and I had to pay it there and then or I wouldn’t have my belongings moved (keeping in mind only 1 can was actually packed at this point). The team they sent me didn’t speak a word of English so I couldn’t even communicate what I wanted to and when I told them to speak to my sales consultant at Anyvan they didn’t know who I was on about. I called my sales consultant and he said that’s wrong we’ll sort out compensation for you.

I was assured weeks before that they would protect my carpets as I was leaving rented property and they walked mud all into the house. My home was loaded onto 2luton vans for delivery the following day.

The next day 1 van arrived and I was informed the other had broken down somewhere in Birmingham and would be with me later. The second van that turned up around 1700 was a totally different van and the second delivery had now actually been split into 2 deliveries and the last delivery didn’t show up until 2200 that night by which point I couldn’t unpack anything as I was exhausted myself from a 6hour drive the day before from Hampshire to Wakefield and didn’t get to bed until 2am.

When communicating with the removal teams boss by phone he was very dismissive and argumentative.

The precious items I paid extra for to be packaged by them turned up with one pathetic layer of MY own bubble wrap to one of my £990 pieces of artwork was damaged. When I went through Anyvan’s claim team they took weeks to investigate, their communication with me was extremely poor and I had to chase them for updates and when they did get back to me, despite them saying they acknowledge the damages were fresh they claim that they probably got damaged when I unpackaged it and they would offer me £175 in total for damages to two pieces of artwork and a custom made £4500 desk!

An absolute AWFUL company in the way they have treated myself and my father and if this is how they treat disabled people then I’d hate to see how they treat able bodied persons! Calling me a liar and offering an insulting amount of compensation to my precious items even after I said I didn’t want to pursue other items that got damaged, only the items that could not be replaced!

PLEASE AVOID THIS COMPANY because for what I ended up paying I could have paid for a well known national moving company; they’re clearly out to save themselves money and obviously don’t care at all about the customers belongings. I’ve not been this upset and insulted ever after paying for a service let alone to be called a liar. If I wanted my items to be dropped kicked into the back of a Mercedes sprinter I’d have made the effort with my good leg to do it myself!

I have asked them for the CEO’ contact details and they have refused. I asked them to speak to a manager on numerous occasions and they refused. I WILL be taking my case further as far as it will go.

DO NOT USE ANYVAN!!!!!!!!!

DO NOT EVER USE ANYVAN!

I’ve just had the most infuriating experience with AnyVan, and I cannot stress enough how utterly appalling their service is. I booked two separate appointments for home moves—one for my girlfriend’s belongings, and one for mine, both within the same week, and both going to the same location. What a colossal mistake that turned out to be.

First appointment: Two drivers showed up in a DPD van—fine, whatever. They were polite and punctual, but that’s where any shred of competence ended. The job? Simple: remove a bed, a fridge, and a TV stand. One major issue: They flat-out refused to dismantle the bed (even though this was part of the job). The fridge was the real disaster. It was going down a flight of stairs, and the so-called movers kept telling me it was their first day. Are you kidding me?! By the end of the entire ordeal, my £900 American fridge (which I’d purchased only seven months ago) was left with scratches, dents, and chipped paint. After I complained to AnyVan, they had the nerve to offer me a pitiful £50 in compensation. That was their solution. £900 worth of damage and they offer me peanuts?

Second appointment: This one was even worse. I paid an extra £26 to have a driver arrive between 9 am - 12 pm. What do I get? A message at 1:30 pm saying the guy was running late, with no apology and, of course, no refund for the delay. The driver, a guy named Siddiq, was flustered and unprofessional from the second he arrived. I asked if he wanted to see the items before loading. His response? “Bruv, I’ve been doing this for 15 years.” Great attitude, huh? As he loaded my things, he was aggressive, argumentative, and rude. When I politely asked if he could be careful with my items, he snapped at me, saying he was “running late” and needed to leave soon. How is that my problem? But it gets worse…

I specifically paid for 1st-floor-to-1st-floor delivery (it was right there on the booking confirmation). Siddiq flat-out refused, claiming he would only collect or deliver from the ground floor. So not only did I have to haul my stuff down a flight of stairs, but I then had to drag it up to my new property. Unbelievable!

And then the absolute final straw: Siddiq broke some of my belongings in transit. He barely acknowledged it, and when I pointed out that my TV and stand were ruined, he nonchalantly said, “It will probably just clip back in.” When I told him that the damage was irreparable, his response was to tell me to “call the company” and “tell them you had the worst driver ever.” That’s when it hit me—this isn’t a one-off. This is just how AnyVan operates. They don’t care. No responsibility, no accountability.

Let me make it crystal clear: AnyVan is a scam. They sell themselves as cheap, convenient, and simple. But when it comes to handling your belongings, they are a nightmare. The drivers are subcontracted and frankly, many of them are so unprofessional they wouldn’t last a day with a reputable moving company. And don’t expect any real customer service if things go wrong—because it won’t happen.

I will NEVER, ever use AnyVan again. I’d rather pay more for a professional, reliable company that actually values my things. AnyVan is a cowboy operation that belongs on the Rogue Traders website. Stay away at all costs.

Disappointed by AnyVan – Financial and Emotional Losses After a “Premi

We hired AnyVan for what was supposed to be a full-service, premium move (ref: AV-8812773). Instead, we received a chaotic and careless experience — and we’re still dealing with the consequences.

First, the company took an unreasonably long time to respond to our emails. When they eventually did, they offered apologies — but no meaningful solution. What we need is not just words, but financial compensation.

The wardrobe boxes we paid for were never delivered — and we have not received a refund.

Our own boxes were damaged because the movers didn’t bring the ones they were supposed to.

One of the beds was incorrectly assembled, missing bolts and left unstable. We now have to hire someone else to fix it.

Several of our belongings were scratched, crushed or broken due to lack of proper wrapping and stacking.

This has resulted not only in stress and frustration, but real financial loss: we are out of pocket for missing items, repairs, and additional help we should never have had to arrange ourselves.

We’ve shared all photos and videos, and we’ve spent a huge amount of time trying to resolve this. So far, we’ve received only a token gesture and vague promises.

We cannot recommend AnyVan based on this experience. Think twice before trusting them with your move.

Terrible Experience: Paid £1,000 and Had to Do Half the Move Myself

I paid around £1,000 expecting a professional moving service. What I got was chaos.

The van that turned up didn’t have the tail lift I was promised. A long list of agreed items weren’t taken, including a shoe cabinet, printer, floor lamp, ironing board, and 2 IKEA bookcases, which had to be left behind entirely.

The van was far too small, forcing us to dismantle multiple items unnecessarily, when we were told to only dismantle for access by AnyVan. Several things were damaged in the process, including the main wardrobe. To top it off, they even sent me a tracking link for the wrong van!

When I called on the day asking for a second van to complete the move in one go, they refused. I had to hire my own van and get my father-in-law to drive it for 3 hours, despite already paying them nearly a grand.

I filed a formal complaint on the 16th of June, and followed up by another email on the 20th of June, no reply, no apology, nothing.

Avoid this company. Completely unreliable, unprofessional, and radio silent when things go wrong.

If the company even bothers, you've received the emails from Abdullah.

P.S. The driver and his mate did all they could to help us despite the lack of competence from AnyVan.

Daylight Robbery.

Hired a van for a local move. The first driver cancelled 3 days before the job. The replacement driver turned up late, took advantage of me not being there to have my sons, who were only supposed to help him load the van, do the loading for him while he spent his time on his phone. He then refused to do more than one run, it needed 2 and was a 15 minute trip, as he had double booked and had another job to get to. On the delivery end he unloaded everything onto the pavement, left it there and drove off to his next job. I phoned Anyvan to complain, nothing was done. Avoid them if possible and definitely avoid the driver calling himself ally1983!

Thank you for your feedback.

I again would like to apologize, as it is expected that all providers conduct themselves in a polite and efficient manner, adhering to all agreements made prior to bid acceptance.

Damaged furniture and refused responsibility.

Damaged a coffee table so badly as to have ripped a leg half off. The courier sneaked the object in so I wasn't immediately aware. Once I realised and telephoned AnyVan, I was told that the courier insisted I had carried everything in myself and must have damaged it on the way in! And I was also informed that AnyVan weren't liable or able to help in any way. On my way to the Small Claims Court.
